Frequently Asked Questions
You can easily schedule a pickup on our website and we will come to your doorstep to collect your donations. Just follow the steps below and sit back!
- Click on the 'BOOK NOW' button on this website.
- Put your location and choose from the pickup options available in your area.
- Select a convenient slot, fill in your details, make the payment; and your pickup is scheduled!
If you've selected "Medium to Heavy Pickup" - Yes, you can add the "2 Carton Combo" to your donation cart. Just make sure to select the add-on "Bring 2 carton boxes" while doing so.
In any case though, we would recommend you pack your donations in anything you already have at your home. Eg- blue/black disposable bags (bio-degradable type if available). Just make sure to tie them up properly before handing over.
For a two wheeler pickup (light items up to 10 kgs), we have daily slots in almost all cities in which we are operational. The slots are 10-12pm, 12-2pm, and 2-4pm and the booking can be made even 30 mins prior.
For "Medium to Heavy Pickup", we have pickup slots available every Wednesday in most cities and the booking for that closes 48 hrs prior. For Bengaluru, except for Monday we have slots available for all the other days of the week, which need to be booked 36 hrs prior. You'll be able to see and select an available slot while booking a pickup.
All the donations are continuously tracked by our monitoring systems; right from the point of pickup at your doorstep - all the way to the NGO's drop point. On completion of the process, you'll be notified the details of the NGO where your donations went via automated email.
We support 135+ NGOs across 12 cities. Once you raise a request, our NGO mapping algorithm would pick an NGO for your donations depending on various parameters- location, items to be donated, their quantity etc. Then the donations would be picked up by our logistics partner and delivered to the NGO.
We're also continuously working with our NGO partners on making this process as transparent, accountable and efficient as possible. We care about your donations as much as you do :)
When you schedule a pickup on our website, the convenience fee is reflected at the bottom at step 3 when you select the items that you want to donate.
For a two wheeler pickup (small pickups - upto 22 clothes in 1 bag), the convenience fee is generally ₹199 (can go a little higher in case the nearby NGO is far away). For a 4 wheeler pickup, it starts with ₹699 for a two carton combo. For each subsequent addition, you would be charged 500 or 550 depending on the volume of the additional item added.
We are a tech platform that facilitates donation pickups (for goods only) and get them delivered to the NGOs. The convenience fee you pay us can't be used for tax filing as it is a platform fee that you pay to us for donation pickup (as a service).
Also, there is no tax exemption on goods donations in India so the NGO would not be able to provide the same as well. We can provide you a thank you letter from the NGO if you wish (please check with us at 8884784742) before the pickup so that we can check with the NGO matched to your order and confirm.
It depends on the volume you wish to donate. If you have no more than 20-25 clothes that can fit in a single bag or equivalent volume then go for "Light Pickup (via 2-Wheeler)". If you have more than a single bag then you could also raise multiple "2-Wheeler pickup" requests.
If you have about 50 or more clothes, then choose the "Medium to Heavy Pickup" option and add the "2 carton combo" to your donation cart. This combo is equivalent to a large suitcase (the kind that you carry to the airport) volume-wise. You can add this combo once or multiple times depending on the volume. You can pack them in anything you have as long as the volume constraint is met.
While raising a pickup request, you will be presented with a list of items accepted by our NGO network. This list usually depends on your location and the pickup option you selected (2-wheeler vs Tempo/Truck). Generally we accept all kinds of reusable* goods – clothes, toys, furniture, kitchen utensils, shoes, handbags, artificial jewellery, school bags and stationery items, prams, treadmills and so on.
* - Reusable means not torn, not broken, does not require repairs, is in working condition, properly sanitised and/or washed.
All the donations must be reusable* and in working condition. Most of our NGO partners do not have facilities for refurbishment and directly distribute the donations as received. Hence please take care while preparing your donation items.
Here are a few examples -
- Clothes - must not be stained or torn; must be properly washed;
- Toys - must be in working condition with no broken parts/edges;
- Mattresses - must be pest-free;
- Home Appliances - must be in working condition; shouldn't need any repairs;
